So what can you do
to protect the natural world?


Go green by:
  • Use a clothesline (or air dry clothes) instead of a dryer.
  • Replace burned out incandescent bulbs with compact fluorescents.
  • Support local farmers by purchasing locally grown produce in season, organic if possible.
  • Properly inflate car tires for better gas mileage.
  • Compost kitchen scraps.
  • Turn your thermostat down in the winter; use a programmable thermostat.
  • Use environmentally friendly cleaning products.
  • Use a refillable water bottle.
  • Don’t print email messages.
  • Help CNC build its new, sustainable home.
Other ways to be greener:
  • Use low or zero VOC (volatile organic chemicals) finishes and paints.
  • Take shorter showers.
  • Use rechargeable batteries.
  • Use cloth shopping bags instead of plastic grocery store bags.
  • Donate unwanted used items to charity organizations, social services or churches.
  • Use Energy Star appliances and light bulbs.
