School Programs

In addition to programs for visiting youth and adults, Chippewa Nature Center (CNC) offers science- and history-based programs for school groups. Our programs are geared to meet the needs of the teacher as well as the students. For teachers, we provide a list of standards correlations in our program brochure and programs at CNC as well as On the Road, and keep program fees to a minimum. For students, we offer fun, hands-on exploration of the natural world at CNC - whether it be science or history.

Program Brochures:

For Sept-Dec 2011 Programs:
Registration by mail, email and fax beginning Aug. 1, by phone beginning Aug. 15.

For Jan-May 2012 Programs:

  • 2011-12 At Home with Nature (PDF) - At Home with Nature is a program designed to supplement science and history homeschool education through fun, interactive, hands-on activities. Each series consists of three programs, all held at the Visitor Center. Each session is limited to 30 students. Groups will be divided based on the age of the students, with the minimum age being 5 years old. Each series is $12 per student and $10 for each additional sibling. (CNC members: $9 per student, $7 for each additional sibling.) Series must be registered for as a package, and missed sessions cannot be made up or refunded.
