Hi Oxbow Archaeologists,

Nik, Becky, and I made it out to the site yesterday morning. We removed the sandbags and tarps from the units and features and put new tarps on the excavation area. I’ve attached a few photos of the site taken this year. Photo 1 shows the site on March 24 when Conrad and I paid a visit. Water was on the floodplain but did not go over the site this year. Photo 2 and Photo 3 show the site as we left it yesterday. The site is in good condition and should be dry enough to excavate next weekend. Yesterday afternoon, Chris, Conrad and I did lab work.

This week we’ll plan on doing lab work on Wednesday evening. Next Saturday we’ll plan on our first day of excavation!

Hope to see you at the site!

Scott
