Hi Oxbow Archaeologists,

When we got to the Nature Center yesterday it had just stopped raining and since it looked like it might rain again, Nik and I washed artifacts in the Resource Building in the morning.  I did find a graver in one of the level bags while we were washing (see graver 2S-100W.jpg).

I went over to the site about noon when the weather cleared and excavated the 40-50 cm levels of units 1S-110W, 2S-110W, and 3S-110W (see map-6-13-09.gif).  These levels are below the main Middle Woodland levels and only a few flakes, bone fragments, and F.C.R. were found.

This week we will meet at the Resource Building Wednesday evening.  Next Saturday we will plan on excavating at Sias East.

Hope to see you at the site.

Scott
